Polar GridSupported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, Polar Grid is an advanced cyberinfrastructure used to support polar science research and provide educational opportunities for student scientists. Project partners include Indiana University (IU), Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) and the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS) at the University of Kansas. Polar Grid comprises computing hardware and software deployed at polar field research sitees in Greenland and Antarctica. Polar Grid will also include two high performance computing clusters in the U.S.- one at IU and one at ECSU
